This Privacy Policy explains how 11 Wit (“11 Wit”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you use https://11wit.com and our services. We are committed to the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and apply GDPR-aligned principles.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your email, company name, hashed password, chosen plan and consent records.
- Financial data you upload — the transactions in the CSV files you import, which we categorise and analyse on your behalf.
- Usage & technical data — limited logs needed to operate the service securely (e.g. timestamps, error logs, rate-limit counters).
2. How and why we use it (lawful bases)
We use your data to provide and secure the service (performance of a contract), to comply with legal obligations, and, where relevant, for our legitimate interest in improving the product and preventing abuse. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.
3. Sharing
We share data only with vetted service providers (“processors”) that help us run the platform — for example cloud hosting — under contracts that require them to protect it. See our Data Processing page. We may disclose data if required by law.
4. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account page; backups are purged on a rolling schedule thereafter.
5. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit, password hashing, per-tenant isolation and other measures described on our Security page.
6. Your rights
You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict and port your data, and to object to certain processing. See Your data rights for how to exercise them.
7. International transfers
Where data is processed outside Mauritius, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) with our providers.
8. Children
11 Wit is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 18.
